Rapping Up First 2017 Alum Treatment Today

Aquatechnex will be demobilizing from the lake this afternoon after completing the first Alum treatment of 2017.  The silt load from the recent rains generally carries a considerable phosphorus load.  The objective of early treatment was to get in the water prior to spring Algae Bloom that has been a treatment issue in the past.  Water transparency started the week about 2 inches and was measured at 3 feet today using a Secchi disk.

At this point the second treatment is scheduled for September of this year.  We will be using this page to communicate again as that work gets closer.
